When we first arrived here two years ago post Hurricane Katrina a name was repeated over and over in my head for months. That name was Lakshmi. As much as i study Eastern religions I had not looked deeply into Lakshmi. It wasn't until my best friend Tracy came to visit that a bit more unfolded. She was a little shocked to see the colors of our bedroom and asked why I would use such a color pattern. As she knows me very well she knows there's a reason behind everything I do. I told her that i didn't know other than Lakshmi was a persistant name I kept hearing in my mind. She told me that the colors i chose were representative of her.
Now low and behold it is two years later and i just found out about this two year old little girl named Lakshmi.
